Langkawi to Koh Lipe Ferry: Schedule, Immigration & Booking Guide

Traveling from Langkawi to Koh Lipe by ferry takes approximately 90 minutes across the 42 km route. Ferries depart from Kuah Jetty, arriving at Pattaya Beach in Koh Lipe 

1. Entrance of Kuah Jetty

Entrance of Kuah Jetty: Upon arrival at the entrance of Kuah Jetty, proceed upstairs to Level 1 (next to Starbucks) for ferry check-in and ticket redemption. The ticket box is located on Level 1, Lot 1, Jetty Point. Please arrive at least 1.5 hours before your departure time.

Note: All times are based on Malaysia Time (GMT+8).

2. Check-in Process

Check in your ticket for the ferry boat: Please present your E-Voucher at the ticket counter to redeem your ferry ticket. Once you receive the physical ticket, proceed downstairs to the International Departure Gate.

3. Malaysia Immigration Procedure

Malaysia Immigration Procedure:When you arrive at the International Departure Gate, please proceed with the Malaysia Immigration process at Langkawi Immigration, Kuah Jetty, Kedah. While waiting for boarding, you may relax in the boarding room until it’s time to board. Please note that the journey to Koh Lipe takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Note: Before arrival in Thailand, adjust your clock, as Thailand time is one hour ahead of Malaysia time

4. Arrival at Koh Lipe Pier

Upon the ferry’s arrival at Koh Lipe, you will need to transfer by longtail boat to Koh Lipe Pier, as the ferry cannot dock directly at the pier. Please have your passport ready to proceed with the Thai immigration process

5. Thailand Immigration Procedure

Thailand Immigration Procedure: Upon arrival at Koh Lipe, you will complete the Thai immigration process at the Koh Lipe Immigration Office, located on Pattaya Beach.

Please note that all visitors are required to pay a 200 Baht per person island fee, as Koh Lipe is part of Tarutao Marine National Park.

After clearing immigration, hotel staff holding a sign with your hotel name will meet you at Koh Lipe Pier and assist with your transfer to the accommodation.

Please note: pickup service availability depends on your hotel. If your hotel does not provide a transfer, you can take a motorbike taxi for approximately 50 Baht per person per way
