Koh Lipe Things To Do

Twenty-first-century southern Thailand is a place to visit and commune with tropical nature while you eat the freshest seafood from an astounding Thai menu after snorkeling, kayaking or swimming all day long in peace. Koh Lipe is made for equatorial tranquility.  Possibly getting to Koh Lipe is a little longer but it makes it even more attractively enticing. The inherent beauty and grace of the Andaman beaches leave the hardened heart softer and the body salubrious. Three main beaches are on Koh Lipe which are Sunrise Beach, Sunset Beach, and Pattaya Beach (not to be confused with Pattaya in Chonburi).

In fact, Tarutao National Park is a collection of 50 islands and Koh Lipe is the one to never miss. Koh Lipe is not for heavy partying but for backpacking adventurous families or individuals to relax and enjoy the equatorial ecology. The family that communes with nature together, stays together. Koh Lipe is there to commune with the flora and fauna of the area.

Koh Lipe does not have cars on the island so every visitor has a proper vacation from the noise of the urban matrix.

Koh Lipe is a premiere snorkeling, SCUBA, kayaking, and hiking destination. After a long day of fun and being kissed by the blessed warm winds of the Andaman, stroll down the walking street and eat sumptuous Roti or enjoy the variety of fresh seafood native to the island. Never forget to go out on a boat trip to the unforgettable Koh Usen or Ko Kra. In fact, on a clear day from Koh Lipe you can see right across the 30 km to Malaysia. Koh Lipe is a tiny piece of tropical oasis that is only 3.5 km long and 2.5 km wide. Take in the dawn at Sunrise Beach and be active all day long. Sunrise beach is located in the eastern part of Koh Lipe and starts a quintessential Thai day surrounded by the awe-inspiring shine of shades of turquoise of the bountiful Andaman Sea.

Moreover, the island is a part of the Tarutao National Marine Park and has protected the uniqueness of coral ecology for all to enjoy while swimming, snorkeling or diving. In fact, 8 Mile Rock and the Yong Hua Shipwreck are now very popular dive spots to soak up the maritime adventure of long ago.  Koh Lipe has exceptional beaches that allows the weary traveler to fully regenerate and rejuvenate on its gorgeous shores.  Actually, Koh Lipe is a more remote experience that is definitely worth the time spent. It’s extraordinarily breath-taking for photos and videos for those that want to show a new way of life on their various social network platforms.  Travel to the island is one part of the adventure. Soak up the Thai way by renting a long-tail boat and slowly taking in the island as your internal pace adjusts and you feel whole with peace of mind.  As Thoreau once said, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
